• Display daily Darshan images, Bhog offerings, and Kirtan content
• Send push notifications — your FCM token is used exclusively to deliver temple alerts (darshan timings, festival announcements, kirtan updates) to your device via Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Determine the correct notification format for your device type (Android high-priority, iOS APNs badge & sound)
• Automatically remove inactive or expired FCM tokens from our database to keep delivery clean
• Enable offline access to temple content
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Maintain and update the Hindu calendar and festival information
• Respond to your inquiries and feedback

Cookies & Offline Storage

Our Progressive Web App (PWA) uses browser storage technologies to provide a seamless experience:

• Local Storage: Saves your preferences (language selection, notification settings)
• Cache Storage: Stores images, audio files, and calendar data for offline access
• Cookies: Small text files to remember your settings between visits

You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings or app storage settings.

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service by Google, to send push notifications to your device.

• When you grant notification permission, your device's FCM token is registered with Google's Firebase servers
• When we send a notification, our server calls the FCM API with your token; Google's infrastructure delivers it to your device
• Firebase may collect device signal data (delivery receipts, error codes) as part of this process
• We use FCM HTTP v1 API authenticated via a Firebase Admin Service Account — all communication is encrypted over HTTPS

Google Fonts & CDN

• Google Fonts: For displaying Gujarati and Hindi text
